1.       Silence of the Lambs

FBI agent Clarice Starling (Jodie Foster) is tasked to find a serial killer. To help her investigation, she talked to a cannibalistic prisoner named Hannibal Lector. This 1991 horror film involves murder, cannibalism and psychological terror. You have to be very brave and have a strong stomach if you want to watch this movie.

2.       Gerald’s Game

A woman is left handcuffed to a bed, trapped and helpless, after accidentally killing her husband in the middle of a kinky game. She then started hearing voices and seeing strange visions. She must survive the horror and terror while trying to escape the confinement. This film is based on Stephen King’s story, starring Carla Gugino. It is probably one of the most frightening King stories. You have to have a tough stomach in order to go through this film.

3.       The Village

It is a tale of an isolated community that is patrolled by mysterious deadly creatures. This film by M. Night Shymalan stars Bryce Dallas Howard, Joaquin Phoenix and Adrien Brody. The film is terrifying and definitely one that you should watch with all lights on. It also has a shocking conclusion so if you want to watch it later, you better avoid spoilers.

4.       Hostel

It is a story of a group of students that are stuck in a deadly situation in a city in Slovakia. This 2005 film is a torture-style horror that is bloody and disturbing. It also produced several sequels and spinoffs.
