The royal couple were travelling from their home in central London to Windsor, on Monday. But then a police outrider crashed into the old woman.

The Kensington Palace said they were deeply concerned about what happened to the woman, who they identified as “Irene”. William and Kate also sent flowers to her.

“They Royal Highnesses have sent their very best wishes to Irene and her family and will stay in touch throughout every stage of her recovery,” they said, as cited from Jakarta Post.

Irene was in a serious but stable condition. The Sun reported that she had a broken pelvis.
