Ali Bashar, the immigrant who raped and killed 14 years old girl in Germany is sentenced to life in prison

The heinous murder triggered a demonstration in Germany to reject the entry of immigrants into the country that are mostly Muslim.

The court in the city of Wiesbaden today has decided that Ali Bashar is sentenced to life in prison for the crime he committed against Susanna Maria Feldman, who was only 14 years old. 22-year-old Bashar himself is an asylum seeker who has been denied his asylum application by the country.

The murder took place in the city of Wiesbaden in May 2018 ago. As reported by the AFP news agency, Wednesday, July 10, 2019, prosecutors stated that Bashar persecuted, raped and strangled the victim to death in a forest area near the railroad tracks on May 23, 2018. After doing his cruel actions he sent a message from Susanna's cellphone to her parents said that the girl would go to Paris, France.

The body of the victim herself was found on June 6, 2018 in a shallow grave covered in leaves, twigs and soil. At that time, Bashar and his family had left Germany and returned to Arbil in northern Iraq. But he was later arrested by Kurdish security forces, and although Germany and Iraq did not have an extradition treaty, he was still sent to Germany.

Bashar acknowledged the murder but denied raping the victim. According to him, he and the victim had sex because of mutual likes before she was angry and threatened to call the police and that is the reason Bashar used to strangle her.
