Thursday, October 17, 2019, the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) noted that heavy rains still often had the opportunity to flush Riau Province. Even so hotspots  are still detected.

As said by the Head of the Pekanbaru BMKG Station, Sukisno. "There are 5 Riau hotspots with a confidence level above 50 percent. Spread at Siak 1 point, Inhil 2 points, and Inhu 2 points," he said.

While Riau hotspots with confidence levels above 70 percent, there are 3 points. Scattered in Indragiri Hilir (Inhil) 1 point and Inhu 2 points.

Visibility at the Sultan Syarif Kasim International Airport (SSK) II Pekanbaru 8 kilometers. Selengutnya Rengat 7 kilometers, Dumai 8 kilometers and Pelalawan 5 kilometers.
