Cristiano Ronaldo broke the record of the most expensive player in the history of Italian league

Cristiano Ronaldo Cristiano Ronaldo - Cristiano Ronaldo became the most expensive player in the history of the Italian league after officially joining Juventus from Real Madrid. Ronaldo beat Gonzalo Higuain's record. Madrid ensured Ronaldo will join Juventus after reaching an agreement with the Italian giants on Tuesday, July 10th 2018. However, until now the value of Ronaldo transfer to Juventus is still confusing.

Sky Sports previously claimed transfer value of Ronaldo to Juventus worth of 105 million euro (equivalent to IDR 1, 9 trillion). While two Spanish media, Marca and the US, claim Juventus spend 100 million euro or equivalent to IDR 1, 7 trillion to get Ronaldo from Madrid.

With the above transfer nominations, Ronaldo is confirmed to be the most expensive footballer in the history of the Italian league. The record of the most expensive player in Italy previously held by Higuain which purchased by Juventus from Naples with a transfer of 90 million euro in 2016.

If using pound sterling currency, Ronaldo is in the third position of the most expensive player in the world with Philippe Coutinho. The 33-year-old striker just lost with the record transfer of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar.

If Ronaldo's transfer to Juventus uses the euro currency, then Ronaldo was ranked fourth most expensive footballer in history. Ronaldo is same with Paul Pogba and Ousmane Dembele. Until now, both Madrid and Juventus have not issued an official statement related to the transfer value of Ronaldo.

Ronaldo left Madrid after nine seasons playing at the Santiago Bernabeu. During in Madrid, Ronaldo successfully won 16 trophies, appeared in 438 games and scored 451 goals.
