News24xx.com - A female migrant worker (TKW) from Purwakarta named Neng Oyah Aipah, a resident of Pasawahan, was tortured by her employer in Saudi Arabia. She asked to be sent home.

As long as two years she worked as a migrant worker in Saudi Arabia, Neng Oyah Aipah often experienced unpleasant actions. She was treated harshly by her employer.

Member of Purwakarta Regional People's Representative Assemble, Ceceng Abdul Qodir said that the torture case began from the reports of her family in Purwakarta who had not been able to communicate with her for six months.

"The family finally sought information from his friend who also became a migrant worker there. Well, according to a report by her friend, Neng Oyah Aipah was tortured by her employer and sought help," said Ceceng, Tuesday (14 January 2020).

Furthermore, Ceceng also admitted that she immediately followed up with the Ministry of Manpower and National Agency for Placement and Protection of Indonesian Workers (BNP2TKI) which specifically handled migrant workers or TKW.

"We have communicated with the Ministry of Manpower and BNP2TKI so that the TKW case will be immediately resolved and repatriated. There must be no unwanted events," she said.

Not only that, Neng Oyah has now made a report to the Indonesian Embassy in Jeddah and hopes that this case can be quickly resolved, because it involves the lives and dignity of Indonesian workers.
