Responding to PSI's statement, the Provincial Government (Pemprov) of DKI Jakarta denied that the deduction of allowances for civil servants was uneven as mentioned by the Jakarta Council PSI Faction.
Head of the DKI Jakarta Regional Civil Service Agency (BKD) Chaidir said BKD employees, BPKD, and the Ministry of Communication and Information got full improper benefits.
They still cut their allowances because of adjustments to the economic condition of DKI which has fallen due to the spread of the Covid-19 corona virus.
"It's not true," Chaidir was quoted as saying by Suara.com, on Wednesday, May 27, 2020.
All of these SKPDs were adjusted for benefits this month because of the economic contraction experienced by the capital city. The adjustment is 50 percent of the total amount received.
"Not cuts, but adjustments to economic contraction so that the regional budget adjusts, one of which is the TKD component (reduced) by 25 percent so that what is given is 75 percent," Chaidir explained.
In addition, the payment of new benefits is given 50 percent of what it should. While the remaining 25 percent is given following.
"What is paid is 50 percent and is delayed by 25 percent, so it is not a deduction," he said.
