News24xx.com - China has approved the use of a potential experimental vaccine developed by Chinese pharmaceutical companies in collaboration with the People's Liberation Army for military armed forces.
The vaccine provided was of the Ad5-nCoV type, jointly developed by a team at the Military Medical Academy led by Major General Chen Wei, and the Tianjin-based CanSino Biologics company.

This is the first time that COVID-19 vaccine candidates have been approved for use by humans, in this case, military groups. Quoted from the South China Morning Post, CanSino Biologics on Monday (29/6) said that the vaccine candidates have shown safe test results and there is a strong immune response to antigens.

Although Ad5-nCoVu has not yet begun phase three trials, which will confirm whether it can protect recipients from infection, the military has approved its use for a year but has not been allowed for civilian purposes.

CanSino said they had completed phase two trials on June 11, but the company had not released data from the study. Data from the first phase published in The Lancet medical journal in May show that Ad5-nCoV is a potential candidate for further investigation.
